Session Abstract: API abuses in web applications are becoming the most frequent attack vector resulting in data breaches and other types of risks for enterprises. Given the importance of APIs for digital transformation at enterprises, it is imperative for engineering, application security, and other InfoSec professionals to get a handle on their APIs to manage various API related risks. This session will first identify various risks that originate from within the enterprise API ecosystems and then provide an overview of a API Security framework for Risk Management at Enterprises. This framework is inspired by the Zero Trust model that enterprises can use as a “Swiss Knife” to strengthen their API Security posture. This session will also highlight best industry practices and hands-on examples for API Risk Management.
